Your First Appointment

Your first visit is a chance for us to get to know you, understand your health concerns, and talk about your goals for care. We’ll review your health history, answer your questions, and create a treatment approach that’s right for you.

Your initial appointment is 75–90 minutes and includes acupuncture ($160), along with additional therapies that may support your treatment, such as cupping, gua sha, or moxa. We may also recommend an herbal formula or simple dietary and lifestyle changes to support your health.

Try not to arrive overly full or hungry, and wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows easy access to your elbows and knees.

Follow-up visits are about an hour ($100). We’ll adjust your treatment plan based on your goals and how your body responds, and connect you with other providers when needed.

And please, ask questions! Chinese medicine may be a different way of looking at the body than what you’re used to. We want you to feel informed and comfortable throughout your care, and there’s no such thing as a silly question.

About Balance Acupuncture

Ready to feel better and take a more active role in your health? You’re in the right place.

At Balance Acupuncture, we use acupuncture and Chinese medicine to create personalized care for pain, fertility, women’s health, stress, and complex health concerns.

Our goal is to help you better understand your body, build resilience, and feel supported as you work toward your health goals.

Lauren experienced acupuncture firsthand at 19, when it helped her with allergies and asthma and changed the way she understood health and healing. That experience inspired her to become an acupuncturist and eventually create Balance.

Your health is personal. Your care should be, too.
